Suwada began making wire cutter which is like ancestors of the nailclippers in 1926. The handle was formed into a gourd shape to be easy to use since it was not interesting to make the sameone as other. The first generation began making nailclippers by making use of technique of making wire cutter after that. Surprisingly,the nail clippers at the time is usable now. However, there was no profit at all because the price was based on the price of wire cutter. They stopped the production of nail clippers after a while.


In the mid 1960's bonsai(a dwarf miniature potted tree) became popular in Japan and they began making more pruning scissors actively. The structure was almost identical to the wire cutter and the nail clippers. This product sells well for many years and continues being sold even now.

They reproduced nail clippers by request from fans of the nail clippers after a while, but stopped production again in half a year because of the low price.

However, a new request came after half a year of quitting production of nailclippers. Then they improved the form to continue to produce and sell them.
